During the period of March 28-April 1, 2016, Prof. Dr. Anja Mihr conducted a series of lectures on Democarcy and Democratisation in Contemporary Europe to the students of the MA programme in Human RIghts and Democratisation in the Caucasus who curretly study at Belarusian State University. During her lectures Prof.Mihr spoke about democracy and docaritisation in general, made presenation on transitional democracy, transitional justice measures, consolidated democracy, etc.
Prof.Dr Anja Mihr is currently Program Director of the Center on Governance through Human Rights HUMBOLDT-VIADRINA Governance Platform. Prof. Mihr is Academic Director and Foundor of Master Degree on Governance through Human Rights at Leuphana University, programme director of Program on Transitional Justice, Cyber Justice and Human Rights Education."The Impact of Transitional Justice processes on democratization processes and the quality of democracy”. She is Principle Investigator (PI) for ORA-NWO Research Project on Transitional Justice and Democracy on Brazil, South Korea, Japan, East-Germany, Hungary, Burundi and Sierra Leone.

Regional Master's Programme in Human Rights and Democratization in the Caucasus opens call for applications for 2018/2019 Academic Year
PROGRAMME DESCRIPTION:
The Regional Master's Programme in Human Rights and Democratization the Caucasus is established with the financial support of the European Union. It is a part of the Global Campus for Master’s Programmes and Diplomas in Human rights and democratisation around the world. The MA is implemented in cooperation with the European Inter-University Center (Venice), and in partnership with leading universities of Armenia, Ukraine, Belarus, and Georgia
The Regional Master's Programme in Human Rights and Democratization is an interdisciplinary programme (with legal, political and multidisciplinary components), with duration of 1 year (60 ECTS). It is implemented by Yerevan State University (home university), Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (host university), Belarusian State University (host university), and Tbilisi State University (host university). The official languages of the Programme are English and Russian.

New Cohort starts in September 2017 |
27 students from Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Poland and Russia have started their studies in the beginning of September 2017 at the Centre for European Studies of the Yerevan State University. During the first semester is taught by both local and visiting professors. During first semester students will get acquainted with theoretical and practical issues of human rights and democracy. The teaching-learning programme will include also practical course which are aimed developing their skills and competences. In February-March students will continue their studies at one of partner universities: Belarusian State University, Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University and Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. Thesis Defence will take place in October 2018. |

Global Campus of Human Rights has launched the third edition of the GC Visual Contest, which open to photographers and video-makers, professionals and amateurs, from any part of the world.
The visual contest will be open from 1 May and will accept submissions through 30 June.

Inauguration of the European Club at the Centre for European Studies |

On 3 May 2016 the inauguration and the first discussion of the "European Club" took place in Robert Schuman hall of the Centre for European Studies. Ambassador Piotr Switalski, Head of EU Delegation and the director of the Centre, Mr. Artur Ghazinyan delivered welcome speeches.

The Global Campus of Human Rights annual international conference in Argentina |
6-7 April 2016 the Global Campus of Human Rights annual international conference took place at the International Centre for Political Studies of the University of San Martin (CIEP-UNSAM) in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The Conference on “Assessing Individual Freedoms and Collective Challenges in the XXI Century” was organized in the frames of the Global Campus to promote education and research on human rights and democracy worldwide.
