Dear Students,

The Center for European Studies is glad to present the Student Handbook, which has been elaborated by the project staff with the assistance of the University of Essex.  The Handbook serves as a guide for you and provides important information on rules, regulations and policies of the programme.  All efforts have been put to provide you with the most accurate information on programme structure, mobility possibilities, Master Thesis writing, assessment and examination, partner universities, academic calendar, etc.

Another important issue the Center wants to highlight is the respect of authorship and plagiarism.  Plagiarism is considered as a serious academic offence, thus the Center is proud to introduce the booklet on "Plagiarism and how to avoid it", which has been developed in partnership with the Essex University.  It was elaborated on the basis of a similar Essex University guidebook. With this booklet we want to help you to understand what is authorship and plagiarism and, more importantly, how to avoid commiting plagiarism.

We hope that both the Handbook and the Booklet will help and guide you during your studies.

Should you have any further questions, you are welcome to address programme staff in all countries.
