On November 1, the students of Master’s programme in Human Rights and Democratisation had a chance to meet with with GC Caucasus programme partner universities and listen to their presentations. Dr Saniia Toktogaziaeva and Dr Kanykey Kasybekova from the American University in Central Asia presented the interdisciplinary module to be offered to our students during 2023/24 spring semester. Apart from module presentations, the colleagues from AUCA also spoke about extracurricular activities, visa and student support opportunities.
The next presenter was Dr Yevgen Garsymenko from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, who presented legal module to be offered to our students in online format. Dr Gerasymenko also introduced the university, modules and teaching staff.
The next presenters were representatives of Moldova State University who joined the GC Caucasus network only recently. Prof. Radical Ciobanu and Dr Natalia Creciun presented the concept of new module, the courses and teaching staff. Special attention was paid to a special course to be organized in the format of Spring school. The school will be joint organized by GC Caucausus, GC Europe and GC South East Europe programmes.
Adrioano Remiddi, Head of Capacity Development Unit at Global Campus Headquarters, welcomed the students and presented all possibilities students could benefit from being part of the Global Campus of Human Rights. A. Remiddi also presented the cooperation between GC Caucasus and Moldova State University. As part of the GC Capacity Development programme. our cooperation officially kicked off in Chisinau on February 1st with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding aimed to support the promotion and protection of human rights, democracy, and sustainable development in the Republic of Moldova through innovative human rights education activities, with special attention to the rights of children, youth and next generations.
The last presentation was made by Dr Nino Lapiashvili from Tbilisi State University on November 2. Dr Lapiashvili spoke about TSU’s module, its structure, teaching staff and internship opportunities.
