On October 24-25, the Regional Master’s Programme in Human Rights and Democratisation in the Caucasus organised thesis defence and graduation of 2018 cohort. Theses defence commission included lecturers from all four partner universities; the commission head was Dr Ruben Melikyan.
During theses two days students had opportunity of presenting their papers both in face-to-face interaction and via online media. Our students researched a wide variety of topics in their papers, which included the role of media, freedom of expression and media, technologies and human rights, political islam and democracy, the role of civil society and national security strategies, gendered discourse and the right to sexuality education, protection of national minorities and civic journalism.
