The Global Campus of Human Rights international conference and promotional event was held during the week from 10 to 13 December 2018 in Beirut. The event was organised by the Global Campus of Human Rights in partnership with the Arab Master in Democracy and Human Rights, coordinated by the Saint Joseph University, thanks to the European Union funding.
The event had the objective to contribute to a paradigm shift that would change the current pessimistic discourse, to make human rights and democratisation popular again and to provide hope and to show that we can successfully face the new challenges.
The conference was comprised not only of keynote speeches but also of inclusive round tables in the attempt to bring the discussion out of an exclusively academic context and to engage with manifold stakeholders and practitioners.
The representatives from the Global Campus Caucasus Arusyak Alexanyan and Kristine Gevorgyan participated in the event.
