On 26 April, 2019 in the framework of the Legal module at Taras Shevchenko University of Kyev, the students of the Regional master programme in Human Rights and Democratization in the Caucasus visited the Ombudsperson’s of Ukraine office.
The Ombudsperson’s representative Ms. Aksana Filipishyna and her colleagues informed students about the status of the Ombudsperson’s institution in Ukraine, the main tasks and responsibilities, and the achievements in the human rights protection in Ukraine. Considering that the study visit took place on the Chernobyl Disaster Remembrance Day, the participants also discussed the issues of the protection of the rights of people suffered from the disaster.
