On November 20th, on the World Children’s Day a panel discussion entitled Alternative Services, Partnership and Social Contracting Components within the Context of Child Protection Policy in Armenia took place at the Center for European Studies. The aim of the event was to discuss existing policies and legislation related to child protection in the country. The guest speakers were Luiza Gharibyan, expert on child issues from the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, Aida Muradyan the President of the Child Protection Network,  Gayane Martirosyan, programme manager of Family Environment and Community Services for the Armenian Children and Lusine Saghumyan ,expert-analyst on Child protection, GC Caucasus Alumni.

The Panel was moderated by Mariam Muradyan, Coordinator/Researcher at the Centre for European Studies.

Among the participants there were students of the centre, professors of the Yerevan State University, representatives of the civil society and public sector, as well as experts. Besides the targeted points of the agenda a number of emerging child-rights-related questions were also addressed.
